Product Description
Bose® 191 speakers deliver the lifelike sound you want for stereo and home theater. They're designed for unobtrusive, flush-mount placement in walls or ceilings and are easy to install. They can even be painted to match your room. Proprietary Bose technologies can make a difference in everything you listen to. It's music to your earsand easy on your eyes. Turn on your favorite CD or settle in with a DVD and let rich, natural sound fill your room. You'll enjoy lifelike spaciousness and balanced stereo sound throughout the listening area with our Articulated Array® speaker design. And you'll experience Stereo Everywhere® speaker performance almost anywhere you sit in the room, rather than the smaller "sweet spots" most conventional speakers provide. A proprietary ported enclosure delivers smooth, consistent low-frequency response, regardless of where the speaker is placed. This innovative approach compensates for unpredictable environments behind walls or above ceilings that can diminish performance. The enclosure also directs lower frequencies into the listening area where they are installed, and prevents them from radiating directly into adjoining rooms. The enclosure allows for easy placement in the wall or ceiling. Speakers come with both rectangular and round grilles, so you can flush-mount your choice to either surface. And when they're painted to match your walls or ceilings, they blend right in.

Amazon.com Product Description
Experience spacious sound from speakers that blend into your room so beautifully that you'll have only their noteworthy performance to remind you they're there. The Virtually Invisible 191 in-wall/in-ceiling speakers from Bose are compatible with your integrated stereo amplifier or your surround sound components, making them perfectly suitable for use as surround speakers in a home theater. Whatever their role in your home, you'll experience wide, spacious sound from speakers that quite nearly disappear into your walls or ceiling.
The white, easy-to-install 191s are designed for unobtrusive, flush-mount placement in walls or ceilings. You can even paint them to match your room. Each speaker uses a pair of 2.5-inch drivers using Bose's Articulated Array configuration. Turn on your favorite CD or settle in with a DVD and let rich, natural sound fill your room. You'll enjoy lifelike spaciousness and balanced stereo sound throughout the listening area. You'll also experience Bose Stereo Everywhere speaker performance almost anywhere in the room, rather than merely in the smaller "sweet spots" produced by most conventional speakers.
The speakers' proprietary ported enclosures ensure smooth, consistent low-frequency response, irrespective of where they're placed. The enclosure also directs the speakers' lower frequencies into your listening area while keeping them from radiating directly into adjoining rooms.
The 191 speakers come with both rectangular and round grilles. Consider which shape will work best in your chosen location. If you prefer the round shape, it's easy to remove the rectangular (default) frames and replace them with the round ones. And when they're painted to match your walls or ceilings, they blend right in (you can always leave them white, of course).
The speakers are optimized for use with amplifiers ranging in output power from 10 to 100 watts per channel. Automatic protection circuitry protects the drivers from being overdriven, increasing their reliability without detracting from your listening.
For installation in a drop ceiling (where tile is installed below the ceiling joists), Bose offers an optional drop ceiling kit (product code 031355) for 2 speakers, which protects the tile from bearing the weight of the speakers. For installation in new construction, use the Bose rough-in kit (product code 031353) designed for use after the studs are in place and before the wallboard is added (to reserve a place for the speakers and indicate where the wallboard hole should be made).
What's in the Box
