Powering and Installation

Powering the System Indoors

Plug one end of the AC to DC adapter into the DC Input jack on the right side of the mobile TV , then plug the other end into the 100~240V AC power receptacle.

Note: Use the provided AC to DC adapter or an adapter with proper specifications.

Powering the System with Built-in Battery

A built-in rechargeable battery (Li-Polymer) is included for use. When the built-in battery cannot power the TV or is used for the first time, recharge it.

1. Turn off the TV
2. Connect the AC to DC adapter to the DC jack and a standard wall outlet
3. The red charge indicator will light
4. Once fully recharged, the light will turn off
5. Disconnect the AC to DC adapter after the battery is fully charged

Note: The TV can operate 2 hrs with built-in battery. When the sound level lowers or the picture becomes unstable, charge the battery about 7 hours.

1. IR Sensor: Infrared sensor receives information from remote.
2. POWER on/off button
3. MENU button: Open and close TV menu or pressing and holding it to interrupt the auto scan.
4. Up/Down/Left/Right buttons: Used to navigate on-screen menus.
   
5. CH+/-: Select the previous or next channel.
6. VOL+/-: Increase/decrease the volume.
7. ENTER button: Confirm your selection.
8. INPUT button: Switch between TV and AV IN.
9. WIDE button: Switches the screen between the 16:9 and 4:3 screen displays.
10. RF IN: Connect with antenna.
11. AV IN: Connect with AV device.
12. Headphone jack: Insert headphone (not included) for private listening. It can disable the speakers.
13. Brightness Up/Down Control: Adjust the brightness.
14. POW/CHG LED: Lights green when the TV on and lights red when the built-in battery is charging.
15. DC 9V jack: Connect to the provided AC to DC adapter.

Note: Moving the TV may cause signal loss, especially for digital programs. The TV will shut off automatically if it receives no signal for 15 minutes.

Setting the DTV

To Set the DTV

Enter the channel number followed by “-1.” For example, enter “11-1” for the digital channel 11. If available, the digital channel appears. Some digital stations provide multiple broadcasts on a single channel. To access these directly, enter higher numbers after the channel number. Take “11-2” “11-3” for example. If available, these digital channels appear.

Using the External Antenna

When the picture is not clear with the built-in rod antenna, try placing your TV near a window or connecting an external antenna to the TV for improve reception. If you are in a weak TV signal area, or are inside a concrete building, you might need an external antenna to improve reception. Connect the external antenna to the RF IN jack on the right side of the TV. Follow the install steps below:

Screw the rod antenna loose from the RF IN jack.

Screw the rod antenna onto the top jack of the magnet pedestal.

     Diagram III

Screw the metal plug of the external antenna onto the RF IN jack on the TV.

Place the magnet pedestal vertically; pull the rod antenna to scan channels.

Note: Based on the current ATSC standards, mobile reception of digital stations are practically impossible especially when the TV is moving or on a moving surface or vehicle. Picture on the screen tends to garble up or lose signal indefinitely. To avoid this issue, try not to move the TV around when watching TV programs.

Using Your TV as a Monitor

1. Press INPUT button and select AV IN mode.
2. Connect the AV cable plugs to the out jack of AV Device as below:  

• Yellow plug: Connect to the VIDEO OUT jack on the AV Device.
• Red plug: Connect to the AUDIO IN R jack on the AV Device.
• White plug: Connect to the AUDIO IN L jack on the AV Device.

3. Connect the AV cable’s 1/8-inch plug to the AV IN jack on the TV unit.

Troubleshooting

The player won’t turn on?

• Charge the battery.
• Check the AC to DC adapter is connected.
• Connect to another power outlet.

No TV Program Picture?

• Do a full scan of channels by pressing “Auto” on the remote or in the Menu settings
• Make sure the input selection is set to TV instead of AV
• Position your TV to a better location with the external antenna connected and do a channel rescan.

No sound?

• Increase the volume.
• Press MUTE on the remote control to turn off mute.
• Unplug the headphones.

Poor picture?

• Adjust the telescoping antenna.
• Move to a window (if inside a building structure).
• Use an external antenna (The one provided or regular antenna.)

Remote control doesn’t work?

• Remove any obstacles between the remote and the TV.
• Replace the battery in the remote control.

While the still photograph looks incredible, action-packed and crisp on your computer screen and it speaks of the many digital channels you'll be receiving upon purchasing this, good luck receiving a signal clear enough for this beautiful picture to become a reality. I purchased this "portable television" from DiscountJungle without reading a review on the product. Simply stated, the technology is so new that there were no reviews to advise me that had been written. Taking a chance, I ordered the product. I live in New Orleans and, being the city that we are and the storms we've been through, I know how valuable a portable TV can be. At this time, I'd like to thank the government for being so all-knowing about what's best for us and getting rid of the signal that powered my little black and white portable ALL those years, but that's another rant. Anyway, after receiving the product in the mail, premium shipping mind you, I was excited to see how it worked. Imagine my disappointment when after scanning for channels in my home it picked up one channel....UPL. Surely I must be doing something wrong!! Taken outside for a clearer signal I got 2 WHOLE CHANNELS!! Now, I'm sure I or my kids would just love to watch a good religious cartoon while hunkered down or evacuating for a storm, but it sure didn't provide the news channels that the tried and true black and white used to have no problems receiving. While I have nothing against them, I doubt that cartoons about the parables would have given me any information on the status of a storm or any other emergency we may face in these times. And, even if it did, would it be worth those 2 useless channels if I had to leave the safety of my home or vehicle to receive that signal. I know this may be long winded, but I wish some long-winded person would have written this before I wasted my time and money and energy fighting for my money back. By the way, I even purchased a $20 digital antenna to strengthen the signal on this unit in hopes that something I could do would make it work.....to no avail, so please don't think that other methods of operation weren't attempted to supplement what this unit lacked. Fortunately, the Amazon A-Z gaurantee reimbursed me all of my money including shipping since DiscountJungle turned out to be a company I'll avoid in the future as they know not what a customer actually is nor what service is, let alone attempting to put those two words together to represent a concept. Simply put, this is a great idea but the technology to make this function the way it should is just NOT THERE YET. The DVD player worked just fine, but if you're like me you've stumbled upon this P.O.S. in a quest for something to take the place of the reliable portable black and white that you have also lost to the wisdom of the government. good product for the price, exactly what i needed and bonus with the card reader. I actually saw some videos I took on my trip to grand canyons on some memory cards. that my laptop could not decode. the dvd is same as everybody's. The TV is what I primarily wanted, as backup to the dvd. The digital broadcast is a pain! not like the old signal, when its weak signal you see snow but can still see and hear the tv show,But its now digital and when its a weak signal you lose the picture and sound

or get on-off-on-off-etc. very annoying. I tried boosted antenna but not much better. Then again I live in the suburbs and only 4 channels are available. I have cable TV.and it will not work via cable adapter only antenna works. the case is nice for back of the seat platform watching. dvd , forget tv channels. I use it everyday in the car.

I wanted a digital portable tv but got much more with this device..It comes with tha carry case,external battery(you can purchase extra rechargable batteries for this device online at betterestore..

I LIKE tha fact that the battery IS NOT BUILT IN..that way my device IS NOT dependent on the battery life (1 or 2 years)..At least with this ,I won't have to worry about a dead battery that won't recharge with the possibility of leaking, stuck in my device.(Thank IPOD for starting that money making Disposable device trend,,,ok)...

This tv has the digital Over The Air Tuner only. No CATV..I use it as a portable anyway,so, CATV connect would have been cool but this thing still is nice..

It can't be turned on & off from the remote (which would have been good)..

The picture, as with all digital devices, is good IF u have a good signal(antenna)..Be it indoor or out,the signal is only as great as the amplified antenna Placement(if indoor antenna is used)..

The battery life is great..The battery has a suction cup that sticks to tha back(on top) of tha device.

Plays SD memory cards (I have a 4 gig card with some pics and divx vids on it)

Plays (Jump Drives) just as good.

Comes with an antenna but unless u are close to a network station,,u'll need to get a good amplified antenna(as mentioned above)..

Overall,the device/gadget is nice..I understand why it's selling like hotcakes.

Warranty info did not come with mine but I read on the net that it's the usual 1 year deal (as with many of these gadgets)..

Unit is easy very user friendly (something I am not accustomed to anymore, especially when an item has this many features). I was able to set up and use all of its features without looking at the instructions.



Picture and sound quality is very good. Sound can be tuned very loud (which is unheard of in portable tv's) and is comfortable listening to at about 1/3 level. I have not had time to test the battery length, but at a rated 2 ½ hours; that is twice the rating for tv's even without a cd player. I have only played it for a half hour and the battery light was still illuminated green.



Unit comes with an extraordinary amount of extras, including external antenna with a good length cord and a nice soft carrying case of which everything fits easily into.



My only suggestion for an improvement would be adaptability for alkaline batteries. I have attempted to try to order additional battery packs but to no avail. Even thought it comes with a cigarette lighter adapter, during long term blackouts (especially in hurricane season) wasting possibly unreplaceable gasoline in your auto or running down a car battery to watch tv does not seem feasible.

I wanted buy a portable TV player because, face it, sometimes you just want to watch tv outdoors. This handy device is great for kicking back with the boys over beers and watching the game in the patio (where it's a lot cooler than inside.) Or sometimes I just take it out with me to the patio and watch tv with this player on my lap.



I've been going on more business trips lately and wanted something to watch dvds with on the plane. I've already traveled with it once, it works pretty well. It's small, so I just stick it in my carry-on. With the battery life, I can get through at least one movie, which is usually enough for me.



Overall, great bang for the buck.
