Wonderful Wii5
The Mario Kart Wii is an exceptional game. The whole family enjoys it. After purchase, it arrived immediately with no delay and was found to be in perfect condition just as the seller had said. It was new and never opened. It would have taken much longer to purchase through a retail store since most retailers who carried the item never had it in stock.

Awesome game- especially if you are new to wii5
Why I bought Wii-

I used to play NES when I was a kid and I always enjoyed it so much. But, as newer consoles began to evolve I found myself intimidated by the new games. Playing seemed to take a lot of effort and practice. There were SO MANY BUTTONS on the controllers for playstation and game cube. It seemed like there was so much to remember. For example you need to press random combinations of buttons to pull out a weapon or jump into the air. It all seemed so confusing to me. So I picked Wii because it had the least amount of buttons- and plus I think the whole motion sensor idea is pretty cool.

Why people dislike the game-

As for Mario Kart for Wii, I have read a few complaints regarding the game play and the controls, however I have noticed that a lot of these complaints come from people who loved the original Mario Kart Double Dash. No one really likes change and apparently the wii version changes a few key playing elements (such as being able to play a battle solo and playing grand prix in multi player mode). However if you've never played any other version of Mario Kart before- this really won't affect you.

The Wii Wheel-

I love the wii wheel because, again, you don't have to push buttons! One button is for the gas and one is for the brake. Easy to remember. I would recommend buying wheels for each remote you own because I think it is by far the easiest way to play, particulary if you are new. It definitely does take some practice though! The motion sensing is pretty sensitive, so if you fling your arms all over the place you will drive off the edge of the road. I have had numerous people come over my house to play and after about 15-30 minutes they have a pretty good handle on the steering. Veteran players seem to dislike the wheel because you do need practice. It is very different from the original mario kart and veteran players have no advantage over newbies.

Why I like the game-

I LOVE playing this game. It is especially fun in the multiplayer mode and online with players from around the world. I like unlocking new stuff and filling up my license with trophies. It is definitely easy to learn and doesn't get old too quickly because there are several modes of play (grand prix, ghost racing, battles, online). There are also a lot of tracks to chose from that vary in difficulty level. This way you can start off with easier tracks and move up to more difficult ones as you improve.

Other things people complain about-

My chief complaint is the online ghost ranking (which is pretty much seeing how fast you can finish a certain track without any other players or error items). People have been able to cheat on this and score ridiculous times like 1 minute for all 3 laps of a track. It kind of defeats the purpose of the ranking because those times are not real. I heard that nintendo is supposed to be working on deleting these fake records, but for now they are still there.
People also tend to complain about the error items- and for the record what they are saying is true. Often times when you play against the AI characters you seem to get hit with a lot of bad stuff (like the blue shell of death) when you are in first place. It really does seem like you get punished for being in first. The game ranks you on your driving and as of now I have yet to reach the *** level because the computer is always knocking me out! However there are lots of ways to evade the game's error items and keep yourself in first.

All in all I personally think the game is great. It's very entertaining for groups of people to play and it is even fun to watch others play. The unlockable karts and characters keep you interested. I've had it for a few months now and I still love it!
