I own both the 7" and the 10.2 ". 6 months for the 10.2" two years for the 7". Both have worked flawlessly since purchased. My only gripe is the battery life. Wish it would be longer than 3 hrs. Also wish it could handle Divx.. Just wishing . Would buy again in a flash.

Great features for the price of the 8" but don't be fooled. I bought this in November as a gift. When used, the sound was terrible and you needed almost full volume when there was background noise. In April, I had a bad disk error. The solution provided by tech support was to clean the laser. I did and still nothing. Of course it's out of warranty after three months and I did not purchase the extension. Later on I was telling a friend about this and he had the exact same experience.

We had this DVD player for a few months when it started saying "bad disc" and not playing some DVDs. Now, after about 6 months, it will not play any DVDs and just says "bad disk" anytime one is inserted. The warranty is so short because this is a piece of junk product. Do not waste your money. Read all the Polaroid portable DVD reviews (for their other players too) and you will see that they make a F- player. I wish we had done our homework. Very dissatisfied.

polaroid players do not play all dvd's. evidently they have a "coding" problems which they are well aware of but don't bother to reveal.......no wonder they are in the financial basement.

I bought this DVD player for [...] with a[..] rebate, and it was the same price as other 8" or 9" players so I thought I was getting a good deal. It had all the features I wanted: dual headphones, car charger, Lithium battery, remote, "car bag" but it just didn't work. The screen is great- I highly recommend 10" because it is more like watching at home. But when I watched movies the sound was off from the video and it was annoying, especially in closeups. Plus the "car bag" is not what you think- it wasn't a nice suitcase-style DVD player case that can be installed in the car and left. It was like an envelope: once you put the player in it you can't change DVDs without removing it, and it's a tight fit. A reguar DVD plaver case cost me an additional $40 on sale, and this player is big it wouldn't fit into the cheap Wal-Mart one.
