it says it is a portable DVD player, but it is a regular one, it has no screen.

I bought this little DVD player for my SUV for $26 bucks. It doesn't have a monitor but I didn't need one. I hooked it up to my Peak 7" backup camera monitor which I bought at Amazon as well

It works like a charm! Remote control, 12v cigarette power, and a beautiful picture. Now I have an overhead DVD for my son for those vacation roadtrips & for $26 BUCKS!!!!!!!

Was going on a trip and paid for expedited shipping - my bad - it got here on time but it is only a player and yes it has a car cord - BUT WHY - it does not have a display screen.
Hooked it up to my basement TV (thru the vcr) and it works OK - just do not be misled by the ad as all the functions it can perform are dependent on hooking up a video display screen to it.
Was looking for a quick inexpensive deal but if I want to use this in my van I'll need to now buy a seperate LCD Monitor!

I just purchased this on a whim and after an easy set-up, impressed the heck out of me! Have you ever wondered why other manufacturers come up with a cumbersome design and charge for that extra square inch just to clog up your cabinet? This Ultra-Compact DVD Player takes up NO space at all! Okay, it's an exaggeration, but you get the point. I believe the footprint on this DVD player is only at an amazing 6"x5"! I have extra space now for other electronic toys in my cabinet and the wife just added a flower pot and a family picture on that same space that my old Sony occupied.
For the price, it's all about functionality & its compactness. I'm happy with the product and will entertain the idea of passing these DVD players to some relatives this upcoming Christmas.
