This player has now gone with me on two overseas trips and two domestic ones. It's mainly good for watching at the gate while waiting to board, and in hotel rooms w/o DVD players. You have to fidget with the volume control to get both speakers to come online, and the A/V function seems to be only for getting other things (a camcorder, maybe) to play on this player's tiny screen, which is pretty useless, as you're more likely to want to watch your DVDs on the hotel TV's screen. Still, it has done what I wanted it to: allow me to watch my own discs on the road. And one more cool thing: Unlike *some* players, this one will play region-free DVDs rather than complaining: "Incorrect Disc". Bottom Line: Buy it for trips only. It seems to do OK for that.

DO NOT BUY! We bought this at Thanksgiving from Kohl's so we would have two. It was used a total of 48 hours (probably less). We just went to use it again for a trip and the entire battery had exploded. Literally. Pieces of plastic everywhere. It was stored inside my home where the temp is never over 75! Complete junk!

I bought this dvd to use when traveling with my daughters. After using it several times, the battery started having trouble staying in place. Less than a year after buying this product, we can only use it with the cable.

I wish we would have seen these reviews before we bought TWO of these. Yes, my wife went to Target and because we have twins, we bought TWO. Lo and behold, both don't work about 15 minutes out of the box. They just read "No Disc" and do absolutely nothing. These are worthless pieces of junk, and we wasted our money.

My wife bought this at Target because she liked the kid-friendly simplified remote. It worked OK playing a music CD, but with a brand new DVD it skipped and stuttered a few times before it froze up completely. This happened literally within minutes of taking it out of the box for the first time.
Judging by the other two negative reviews, this company has serious quality control problems. I'd rate it zero stars of Amazon would let me. Avoid this product.
